Boston Dry Dock

Boston Dry Dock
Strata is a series of new ground levels created in response to rising global sea levels.
Interwoven in the commercial food market and ferry building are outdoor public spaces designed as an education tool. A gradual movement upwards forces visitors to be cognizant of the lasting effects of climate change. The raised park, suspended over the dry dock, is a public meeting place which also acts as another extension of education.
The existing, and now defunct naval dry dock is used as a measuring tool to illustrate and mark passage of time. My design proposal asks — How can architectural structures render visible the invisible projections of climate change in Boston’s Seaport District?
